I noticed that a few times I found myself saying, \u201cWow.\u201d I got to thinking about that word \u2014 you don\u2019t necessarily hear it a lot, but when you do, you know that whatever caused the expression to be spoken had gotten the undivided attention of whoever uttered it. I\u2019ve heard that if you make something or say something that elicits the \u201cwow\u201d response, you\u2019ve done or said something special.<br \/>\nFrom what I can tell, wow is a 16th century Scottish interjection \u2014 a natural expression of amazement.<\/p>\n<p>Funny how a little word can express so much. Sometimes we use the word wow when we see something of beauty, or when we see something terrible, or when we see something we don\u2019t understand, or miraculous \u2014 we use it for differently all the time\u2026 But when we use it, one thing\u2019s for sure \u2014 whatever made us say it, has captured our undivided attention.<br \/>\nNext time you say wow, stop and think about why you said it \u2014 whether it was mundane or miraculous, I\u2019ll bet it was amazing\u2026.<br \/>\n\u2014 30 \u2014<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last evening I was watching the Super Tuesday election results.
