{"id":612,"date":"2015-10-28T19:47:36","date_gmt":"2015-10-28T19:47:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jimmy.ekota.net\/?p=612"},"modified":"2015-11-26T15:12:59","modified_gmt":"2015-11-26T15:12:59","slug":"snowflakes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jimmy.ekota.net\/?p=612","title":{"rendered":"Snowflakes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ve always heard that no two snowflakes are exactly alike. Most people have probably heard it and if you asked then what they know about snowflakes, I bet the thing most people would say first is that, \u201cno two are exactly alike.\u201d But is that really true? In all of time and in all the snowstorms that have hit the earth, has there never been two snowflakes alike?<br \/>\nNow the fact is, if you\u2019re like most people, it\u2019s not a big deal to you and you\u2019d just as soon leave well enough alone and assume it\u2019s true \u2014 or not true.<\/p>\n<p>Although snowflakes are one of the things I wonder about occasionally, I\u2019m not really concerned enough to do my usual extensive research on the subject.<br \/>\nBut I got to thinking \u2014 snowflakes seem to get a lot of credit for being unique in that there aren\u2019t any two alike. I\u2019m thinking there are other things that fall into this \u201cnot alike\u201d category.<\/p>\n<p>If \u201cno two alike\u201d means <em>exactly<\/em> \u2014\u00a0then that includes almost everything. Almost nothing in nature is exactly alike. I don\u2019t ever remember seeing two leaves or two trees or flowers that are exactly alike. And I\u2019m told that no two people have the same fingerprints\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Actually no two situations are alike and no two people are exactly alike and no two individuals react alike and behave alike under normal or abnormal conditions.<br \/>\nI think that\u2019s a good thing \u2014 even though I admire certain attributes in others, I prefer being my own unique person \u2014 kind of like a snowflake, I guess\u2026.<br \/>\n\u201430\u2014<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ve always heard that no two snowflakes are exactly alike.
