What if you had no reverse gear in your car? Or maybe we should be celebrating by walking around backwards or something like that.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/jimmy.ekota.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Backup-Day.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3519\" width=\"185\" height=\"141\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>But it\u2019s not one of those frivolous days \u2014 turns out this is a very important day. It\u2019s a day set aside every year to to boost awareness for businesses \u2014 and individuals \u2014 of the importance of regular data backups. Yep, World Backup Day refers to <em>data<\/em> backups. the goal is to use March 31st as the date each year to reach those who never backed up their data, and even people who might not even know about data backup.<br>The fact that World Backup Day falls on March 31 is no coincidence. The next day may be about laughs and pranks, but the potential loss of data is no joke.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I admit I don\u2019t backup our computers as regularly as I should, but I do backup our \u201cimportant\u201d information regularly. Admittedly, backup for our house is pretty simple \u2014 we don\u2019t have a huge amount of data \u2014 a lot of \u201cstuff\u201d on our computers isn\u2019t something that would invite a ransomware attack.
