That\u2019s the date our friend Anne was born. That makes her 89 years old today.<br>Anne was born in 1933 in Germany \u2014 the same year Hitler came to power and turned Germany into a dictatorship.<br>She survived the war and made it to the United States\u2026 worked as a maid, made a lot of German (and American) friends and met and married Winfried.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She\u2019s had a fascinating life and has been one of our best friends since we moved to Shepherdstown.
